Great value for money with complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks in our self-catering cottage at Duffryn Mawr Cottages. The location was perfect for exploring the area by walking, cycling, or driving, and we loved that our two Yorkshire terriers could stay with us. We had a comfortable stay near Cardiff, just a short drive from Barry and Porthcawl. It was nice to be centrally located.

Misunderstood that the extra bedroom for a child was actually bunk beds in a separate unit away from the main door. Difficult to safely walk the dog in the immediate location due to narrow roads.

The cottage was in a good location to explore various parts of Wales, allowing us to see places we had never been before. The beautiful coastline, particularly the Merthyr Mawr dunes, was easily accessible, as were attractions like Dryffryn Gardens. Additionally, being able to reach the center of Cardiff in less than 30 minutes was a major advantage.

The limited comfortable seating was a downside, as we missed having a sofa to relax on in the evenings. Furthermore, the lack of privacy due to the close proximity to the owners' house was a slight inconvenience.

I had a very relaxing stay at this place, the setting was beautiful and the bedrooms were nice and the private bathroom was lovely.

I had a wonderful stay at Swallow Cottage. The location was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by trees and the serene countryside. It was the perfect escape from the busyness of life. Plus, the cottage was conveniently close to Llantrisant and a retail park for any last-minute needs.

I must mention that there were a few drawbacks during my stay. The narrow roads leading to the cottage were quite dangerous, especially with fast drivers and limited passing places.
